About Winslow Township

At a glance. Winslow Township is Camden County's largest municipality at about 58 square miles, with 39,907 people at the 2020 census and the ZIP code 08095. It was incorporated in 1845 and is governed by a township committee.

Neighborhoods. Communities within the township include Sicklerville, Blue Anchor, Cedar Brook, Tansboro, Braddock and Ancora.

Schools. The Winslow Township School District serves the township, and Winslow Township High School teaches grades 9 through 12.

Getting around. The Atlantic City Expressway has several exits in the township, and U.S. Route 30 and Route 73 also run through it.

Places to know. About 80 percent of the township lies within the Pinelands National Reserve, and the Blue Hole is a well-known local landmark.

Selling a home. Winslow requires a certificate of continued occupancy before anyone new moves into an existing home, whether it was sold or rented. The township construction office inspects within 10 working days of a complete application, using the International Property Maintenance Code, and no one may move in until life-safety problems are fixed. New Jersey also requires a certificate for working smoke alarms, carbon monoxide alarms and a portable fire extinguisher before a one- or two-family home gets a new owner or tenant. Rules change, so check with the town before listing.
