About Audubon
At a glance. Audubon is a Camden County borough of 8,707 people (2020 census) on about 1.48 square miles of land.
Schools. The Audubon Public School District runs four schools: Audubon Park Preschool, Haviland Avenue Elementary School for kindergarten through second grade, Mansion Avenue Elementary School for third through sixth grade, and Audubon Junior-Senior High School for seventh through twelfth grade. Students from Audubon Park attend the district's schools, and students from Mount Ephraim join in ninth grade.
Library. The Free Public Library of Audubon is at 239 Oakland Avenue.
Selling a home. New Jersey requires a certificate for working smoke alarms, carbon monoxide alarms and a portable fire extinguisher before a one- or two-family home gets a new owner or tenant. Ask the Audubon borough construction office whether anything else is checked before a sale. Rules change, so check with the town before listing.
