Gloucester Township and Evesham start curbside leaf collection November 2. Here's what other towns have posted so far.
The maples are letting go, the rake is somewhere behind the kayak in the garage, and every neighborhood group chat has the same question: when does the township actually come for the leaves?
Short answer: it depends on your town, and plenty of towns haven't said yet. Here's what's posted so far.
- Gloucester Township starts Monday, November 2. Have your leaves at the curb the weekend before your section's week, loose if you can. If you have to bag, paper bags only. Don't park in front of the pile during your pickup week. Schedule: glotwp.com/information/fall-leaf-collection-schedule
- Evesham (Marlton) projects a start of Monday, November 2, in sections 1 and 2, then the other sections in numerical order. Rake loose piles along the curb, no bags. Orange signs go up in each section with its start date, and a second round follows once the first is done. Bagged leaves can be emptied at Public Works, 100 Sharp Road. - Vineland picks up loose leaves at the curb in November, December and January, on the same schedule the city uses for brush. Keep piles at least 10 feet from storm drains. Bagged leaves get picked up all year if you call 856-794-4250.
Still waiting: we couldn't find fall 2026 dates for Cherry Hill, Mount Laurel, Winslow or Washington Township when we last checked. Cherry Hill started the week of October 20 last year. That's not a promise for this year, just a reason to keep an eye out.
One thing Gloucester Township, Evesham and Vineland all ask: keep branches out of the leaf pile. And in Cherry Hill and Gloucester Township, plastic bags are a no.
We keep a town by town list and add dates as towns post them: southjersey.today/trash-and-leaf-pickup
