The holiday parades and Thanksgiving turkey trots South Jersey towns have already set for 2026, with times where they've been posted.
It's the middle of October and Halloween hasn't even happened yet. But a few towns already have their holiday parades on the calendar, so if you're the person who plans Thanksgiving weekend before the candy's bought, here's what's set so far.
Parades:
- Collingswood Holiday Parade: Saturday, November 28. It's always the Saturday after Thanksgiving. The route runs from Zane Avenue to West Linden Avenue. Check the borough's page for the start time.
- Ocean City Christmas Parade: Friday, December 4. It's on the city's 2026 event schedule, along with Christmas in the Downtown on Friday, November 27. The city's schedule doesn't list times yet. ocnj.us/news/post/22083
- West Cape May Christmas Parade: Saturday, December 5, at 5 PM. It starts at the West Cape May firehouse and follows Broadway and Perry Street into Cape May.
- Hammonton Fire Department Christmas Parade: Saturday, December 12, at 7 PM. A nighttime parade down Bellevue Avenue, from North Liberty Street to Egg Harbor Road.
Earn the pie first:
- Haddons Pre-Game Turkey Trot: Thanksgiving morning, Thursday, November 26. The 5K starts at 8 AM at Crows Woods in Haddonfield, and the fun run goes at 8:05. bikesignup.com/Race/NJ/Haddonfield/HaddonsPreGameTurkeyTrot
- Fast and the Furriest 5K in Ocean City: Thanksgiving morning at 8:30 AM, starting at the Music Pier on the Boardwalk.
- Moorestown Turkey Trot: Thanksgiving morning. An untimed 5K and a one-mile run on the high school cross country course at 350 Bridgeboro Road.
A couple more for the calendar. Cape May MAC's Christmas Candlelight House Tours run Saturdays, December 5, 12 and 19, from 5:30 to 8:30 PM, and you need a ticket. And Ocean City's First Night is New Year's Eve, Thursday, December 31.
Still to come: tree lightings, Santa visits and the big light shows. Storybook Land, for one, hasn't posted its 2026 nights yet. We add them to the holiday guide as towns and organizers post them: southjersey.today/holidays
